Capability of the Body to Build Muscle even in Sleep

without comments

It is true that you exert your muscles in the gym and the stretching and the release of growth hormones while the muscles are flexed and holes are created all happen in the gym. However, it is not a popular knowledge that muscle growth is in its optimum phase of developing during sleep. The necessity of six to eight hours of sleep to build muscle effectively is not just given as an empty advice. Sleep is necessary because this is when the repair of the damaged building muscle brought about by intense workout happens. It should be clear that damaging the muscle is necessary to give way for the growth hormones to be developed. So, while the damaged muscle is being repaired, the process also involves fusion of the satellite muscle cells into the main muscle group making the muscle bigger than it was before the exercise. If there is not enough sleep – and proper nutrition – the muscles are not being repaired and so no growth happens.
